About the design

During one of their overnight stops, while the rest of the group is asleep, Moomintroll and Snorkmaiden walk out together into the night. Tove Jansson's classic black-and-white illustration captures this quiet, romantic moment: the two characters stand side-by-side on a ridge, looking out under the glow of a large full moon, with Snufkin’s signature pointed tent pitched nearby in the background
