About the design
Lilla Spöket Laban – Little Ghost Laban – has been loved by generations of Swedish children since he first appeared in 1965. Created by author Inger Sandberg and illustrator Lasse Sandberg, Laban isn't quite the frightening ghost his family might have expected: he's gentle and kind-hearted and is even a little afraid of the dark.
Lasse Sandberg's distinctive illustrations have a wonderfully simple, almost hand-drawn quality that gives this blanket its nostalgic charm. While Laban may be less familiar to British families, in Sweden he is an enduring children's character with more than sixty years of history.
It's a lovely example of Klippan bringing Swedish storytelling and textile tradition together in a design for a new generation.

Wool naturally repels dirt and odours, so children's wool blankets don't need frequent washing. Often, simply airing the blanket outside is enough to freshen it. Machine wash 30 degrees. Wool programme only. Wash separately. Iron at medium temperature. Do not tumble dry. Do not use bleach.
