About the design
Forest is one of those children's designs with something new to spot each time you look at it.
Bengt & Lotta have filled the pattern with a lively collection of creatures and plants from the woodland, all interpreted in the simple, graphic style for which the Swedish design duo are known. Klippan describes them rather charmingly as the friends who live out in the forest.
Against the deep blue background, the contrasting animals and trees create a wonderfully rich pattern while still retaining the clean Scandinavian character of the design.
Forest has been part of Klippan's children's collection for many years and it's easy to understand its lasting appeal: a playful children's pattern that doesn't feel limited to the nursery.
Why choose lambswool?
Lambswool comes from the first shearing of a young sheep and is prized for its softness, warmth and natural insulating properties.
The wool used for the current Forest lambswool blanket comes from New Zealand wool growers licensed under Wool Integrity NZ™, a programme with standards covering animal welfare and environmental responsibility. This includes a requirement that the sheep are not mulesed. Forest is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning the finished textile has been tested for harmful substances.
Naturally breathable and temperature regulating, wool provides warmth without unnecessary weight, making it particularly well suited to blankets that travel between the cot, pram, car and home.
