Fox Face turns the traditional baby blanket into one wonderfully bold, characterful fox.
Designed by Swedish design studio Edholm Ullenius, this playful Klippan blanket is quite different from the smaller repeating motifs found on many of the children's wool blankets. A large fox face fills almost the entire design, with pointed ears and simple graphic features creating an instantly recognisable character.
Woven from 100% lambswool, Fox Face is warm, soft and naturally insulating. At 65 × 90cm, it's a lovely size for the pram, cot or car – and a particularly fun blanket for little ones to have around at home.

About the design
Fox Face takes a rather different approach to Klippan's familiar children's patterns.
Instead of repeating little animals across the fabric, Edholm Ullenius have used almost the entire blanket as their canvas. The fox's face becomes the design itself, with large ears, expressive eyes and beautifully simple geometric shapes giving it a strong graphic quality.
Fox Face originally appeared alongside Puppy Face and Rabbit Face in Klippan's Animal Face series, each transforming the blanket into a different animal character.
The rich orange and brown colouring is perfect for the fox, while the pared-back illustration keeps the design unmistakably Scandinavian. It's playful and fun, but also a clever piece of textile design – a blanket that becomes a character when it's unfolded.
Why choose lambswool?
Lambswool comes from the first shearing of a young sheep and is prized for its softness, warmth and natural insulating properties.
The wool used comes from New Zealand wool growers licensed under Wool Integrity NZ™, a programme with standards covering animal welfare and environmental responsibility. This includes a requirement that the sheep are not mulesed. Fox Face is also OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning the finished textile has been tested for harmful substances.
Naturally breathable and temperature regulating, wool provides warmth without unnecessary weight, making it particularly well suited to blankets that travel between the cot, pram, car and home.
