Inspired by the beautiful textile traditions of Sweden's Södermanland region, Sörmland Baby is a wonderfully colourful lambswool blanket designed by Kerstin Landström. Its intricate bands of floral and geometric patterns draw on centuries-old Swedish folk costumes, bringing a little piece of Scandinavian heritage to a new generation.

Woven from 100% OEKO-TEX® certified lambswool, Sörmland is naturally soft, warm and breathable. Beautifully sized for a pram or pushchair, or for wrapping around a little one at home, it's a thoughtful gift for a new arrival and a lovely keepsake to treasure as they grow.

About the Design

Sörmland takes its inspiration from the traditional folk costumes of Vingåker and Österåker in Södermanland, Sweden. These are among Sweden's oldest surviving folk-costume traditions, with distinctive designs that have remained remarkably unchanged for more than 300 years.

The beautifully embroidered bodices, aprons and decorative belts have inspired Kerstin Landström's intricate patterns and harmonious colours, creating a contemporary baby blanket with a wonderful connection to Swedish cultural heritage.

Care Guide

Wool naturally resists dirt and odours, so frequent washing is rarely necessary. Regular airing, preferably in slightly damp weather, will help keep your blanket fresh.

If washing is needed, use a mild wool detergent and hand wash or machine wash at 30°C on a dedicated wool programme. Gently reshape and allow to air dry. Do not tumble dry.
