Freja celebrates the natural beauty and distinctive character of Swedish wool. Woven in warm amber, soft cream and muted blue tones, its understated geometric pattern and decorative fringes create a timeless Scandinavian look, equally at home in contemporary or traditional interiors.

Made from 100% Swedish wool, sourced from small farms in southern Sweden, Freja has a wonderfully substantial feel. The wool is naturally a little thicker and more rustic than the fine New Zealand lambswool used in many of Klippan's throws, giving it a distinctive texture and reassuring warmth. Beautifully brushed and generously sized, it's perfect for curling up on the sofa or adding an extra layer of comfort on colder evenings.

Why Choose Swedish Wool?

Swedish wool is a valuable natural resource, yet historically much of it has gone unused. Klippan is helping to change this by working with local wool producers and making beautiful, long-lasting textiles from Swedish fleece.

Wool from Swedish sheep tends to have a stronger, more robust character than fine New Zealand lambswool. Naturally warm, breathable and durable, it's particularly well suited to substantial, cosy throws. Its slightly rustic texture is part of its appeal, bringing an authentic connection to Sweden's long tradition of wool production.

Care Guide

Wool naturally resists dirt and odours, so frequent washing is rarely necessary. Simply air your throw regularly to keep it fresh.

Machine wash at 30°C on a wool programme only. Wash separately. Iron at medium temperature. Do not tumble dry or bleach.
